Another jQuery WB forum?

I understand your reasons, but I my opinion there is no need to create another forum board for a WB module. The fact that there are arguments in the German forum is the responsibility of the users and the moderators there. Moving the discussion to another forum is no real solution I think.

We can create a separate subforum like http://jquery.websitebakers.com/forum/ within this forum without a problem. Just like Bakery has its own subforum. I still think it's confusing that discussions about a WB module are held outside this forum. We should aim for having all discussions about WB related stuff here, and not spread over several boards. I hope other moderators and especially admins will speak out about this. Since I'm no longer an admin, I cannot create subforums anymore.

I don't know anything about any flame wars and annoyances concerning jquery.

jQueryAdmin. Not jQuery.

This forum here was created for the jQuery stuff in the WB Core, not for jQueryAdmin. The forum in the Showroom was created for jQueryAdmin and anything concerning the Plugins that are provided for download there. So, it's the other way around: All that is concerning the jQA module should be discussed outside the WB forum, especially because of the flame wars. (That took place in the German forum in most cases, so it's clear you're not aware of them.)

I understand there is a not a clear line where topics regarding jquery in general and jquery modules for WB begin and end. But that goes for many subjects in these forums. I don't see any problems about that. The moderators can tackle that without a problem. I don't know anything about any flame wars and annoyances concerning jquery.

Anyway, the current situation with two partly overlapping forums is rather confusing and unprofesisional in my opinion. We should stick to 1 forum for all WB related topics. Discussions regarding jquery itself should be done outside the WB forum, but the jQuery-admin module should be discussed only here.

If you and others want to discuss the jQuery-admin stuff in the alternative forum instead of here, we'd better close this forum, and send people to the other forum instead. Duplicate forums are just silly and inefficient.

The decision to create a new forum is explained in the forum itself. But I can explain it here, too.

The jQuery Showroom is dedicated to the jQueryAdmin module and the plugins that are packed for it. Nearly every discussion concerning this module leads to flame wars here in the WB forum. So it's nearly impossible to support the module and any questions related to the jQuery Plugins that are packed for it in the WB forum without annoying the users.

In addition, it seemed from the beginning that jQuery related discussions are not really welcome here. It's simply not a WB subject (like FCK isn't). This is a very personal impression I am not going to discuss.

So, I (and some others) thought it would be better to discuss jQueryAdmin and jQuery related questions where the plugins are located. "Erpe" supported this by creating the Showroom Forum.

It is a support-forum for the modules jQueryAdmin and LibraryAdmin.
Not a extra-forum for jQuery.

I accidentally stumbled upon another (official?) WB/jQuery forum: http://jquery.websitebakers.com/forum/

Why is there another WB/jquery forum? It's rather confusing to have 2 forums for the same subject. We can easily extend the current jquery forum here if it needs sub-forums. We should not have completely separate forums for WB in my opinion.
