Well I'm still working on how far I can stretch WB. I came across a site that I liked so I decided to work on duplicating the home page in WB. I wanted to do this using standard WB as much as possible without too much customization.  It isn't a perfect match but it's close enough to declare success. With a bit more work I could make it that much closer but I think I'll move on and try another one. You can see my version and the original using the links below:

After using Nuke and looking into Drupal, I'm really impressed by WB's ease of use. I'm not overly impressed by the free templates however; so I've started to do some work on building some new ones (based on some of the existing ones).

You can see the site using one variation on my first template at:
http://structures.sma-sportsmgmt.com/

I created three versions, a yellow one, a gray one and a blue one. To make it easier to customize and create new versions, I pulled many of the graphics variables out of the index module and put them in a separate (commented) parms module. I think this makes it pretty easy to create a custom look. I'd like to be able to put a color / theme option into the Settings display but I don't know if there is a standardized way to do that (if anyone has a simple example please let me know).

I wanted to add buttons into the navigation menu but I didn't see a simple way to do that so I made a small change to the class.frontend.php module that I have included with each template. Again, if there is a simple standard way to do this, let me know.

I emailed the three templates (chris1_gray, chris1_blue and chris1_yellow) to one of the gurus so I guess they will appear in the repository once it s straightened out.
