My first website with WB - fitness...

DGEC

Not bad. The gallery needs a link back to the main site though, I got stuck there!

You may agree or not with the following, I'm just throwing out some ideas.  :-D

You might think about is more of a close up on the manager (or owners?) faces on the banner photo collage.  Looks like they "are" the gym, if you know what I mean, and I can barely see them even though my screen is only 800 odd wide. The banner is so wide though, that all the text appears very short in comparison, since it forces a wider page that is warranted for the amount of text on many of the pages.

The little boxes on the side are different for a WB site, not many use that style I think, but I think it works okay.

The roll-over operates smoothly.  Although you might think about spreading it out a bit more, even though it is quite long already. It still seems a bit cramped, also a more attractive bullet-point might help.

Something about the overall colour though, needs... more "punch".  It looks very... calm. More appropriate for a spa than a gym - doesn't really "pump you up".  Perhaps a contrasting colour - not too strongly though or it will overpower the rest of the pale green.

It's relatively hard to read the content text too - I would suggest you lighten the body background to/near white (if that is a semi-transparent background then increase the opacity.)  If you look around the web, nobody does image background behind the body text like that any more - mostly because it makes the page harder to read. On overall backgrounds, buttons, things like that, sure - looks great there. Especially where used to give a "real" 3d appearance

For the menus, maybe an orange or red for the boxes & titles?

The team pictures are probably ok but they desparately need some contrast - there's no white & no black levels. They are all grey and grainy looking.

The kontakt page should easily use a Form segment to let people send an email without an email client. (e.g. library computers, etc).  You can go to that page in the adminstration editor and then click "manage segments", then add a FORM type segment instead of a WYSIWIG one, and add some fields, even if it's just name, email and comment.

Don't forget you can add pictures on any page as well.  That would break up the text a lot.

If your page is white, you can add things like your hour tables with a nice background colour to make it more attractive too.

The template is in the addons section since some weeks and it's based on my own ideas. But I needed very much help by Matthias. Maybe I will enter it in the contest. Are there any other comments on the template?

Did you create and share the template after the contest started? Then you need to put it in, if it is not based on an template designed by somebody else.

cheers

@nobody: If I where you, I would do it  :-)

No, I didn't. Do you think I should? I think it's not good enough for the contest and also it's in the template section. Maybe I will start with it, but I don't know.

kweitzel

nice one ... did you enter the template into the contest currently running?

cheers

So, this is my first website I made with WB. Please give me some comments. You can find the template at the template add-ons.

Without Matthias (one of the admins in this forum) I never had finished it. Special thanks again.
