Apache and PHP problems on Windows?
Use WAMP If you must use Windows :-D.
WAMP is Free and Open Source.
You will have your WB site running in 5 minutes.
I did my experiment on XP Professional.
Here is a link to the WAMP project: http://www.en.wampserver.com (http://www.en.wampserver.com)
You may find this useful too: http://glob.com.au/sendmail/
(http://glob.com.au/sendmail/)
Installation:
* Install WAMP
* Set password for MySQL
* Rename the index.php from the WAMP install to control.php
* Unzip the contents of the WB zip file into the www directory
* Run through WB setup

The WAMP control panel makes administration easy
You can also use a webserver on an usb stick. Verry handy to work on another location.
Download it at http://www.usbwebserver.com (http://www.usbwebserver.com). However, the website is in Dutch. Use Google Translation to translate the site.
Just for the sake of completeness, XAMPP (http://www.apachefriends.org) from the apache friends. XAMPP is available for Windows, Linux, Solaris, Mac and easy to set-up within minutes.

I am mostly working on 5 to 10 sites at the same time (including sandboxing etc..)
I am using SAMBAR server just because is has a very nice virtual server config (through admin web interface).
Unfortunatly Sambar is stopped development and even the main website does not exist anymore.
I don't mind using WAMP/XAMPP, but i would really like a more simple virtual domain management (using scripts).
Does anyone has a good tip for a GNU config tool for apache where I can simply create virtual servers?
Ruud
Hi Ruud,
maybe a little oversized if you need it only for a local test-enviroment:
