There is a new jQuery version out: 1.4.
Visit www.jquery.com for the details.
I think this newest version should be shipped with WB2.8.1 RC3 onward.
Hello Jurgen.
I've seen that version some days ago and had a quick go with it.
Did you check if there is some incompatibility with some jQ Plugins previously created for jQ CORE vers. 1.3.2?
Regards,
Stefek

Nope, I just spread the news, hoping WB developers will pick it up :-D
Got still lots of other WB community stuff to do so I won't check into this new jQuery version myself...
since version 1.4rc1 its working on my site and no probs until now.

Jquery will definitly not included in the RC3. If you are able to test, we are happy. Version 1.4 is still in 14 days period.

This is not some sort of 14 days beta period. It's a final version. The "14 Days of jQuery" is just a promotion and marketing period, to "celebrate" the new release :-D
Yes but we use the time to test, maybe issues with plugins, and every module developer should do that, and give us feedback. so we will be going to upgrade in stable release.

Hi,
have read through the news in jQuery 1.4. The 1.4 release fixes 207 bugs (http://dev.jquery.com/report/34) of 1.3.4. Another focus was on speed improvements (http://jquery14.com/day-01/jquery-14) (see last section at the bottom) with respect to 1.3.4. The jQuery guys also provide a small plugin (http://jquery14.com/day-01/jquery-14#backwards) which allows full 1.3.4 support with 1.4, IF a problem with a "self-made" Plugin etc. occurs.
So I really would like to see jQuery 1.4 distributed with WB 2.8.1 release. So far I havenĀ“t found any incompatibilities with existing modules with my installations.
As Dietmar has introduced a lot of minor bugfixes since 2.8.1 RC2, it may be worth while implementing jQuery 1.4 with a possible 2.8.1 RC3.

If nobody till yet had issues we will begoing to do that, Because the newer YUI has issues in IE8 and may be to fallback in lower version
