Title: Argos1 theme header question
Post by: JimmyJazz on June 19, 2010, 08:01:42 AM
Hey you guys, a newbie here so be gentle with me.

I downloaded website baker yesterday & the Argos1 theme.

My question is I have 2 graphics prepared to install into the header & into the top fixed content box but I am unsure what code I have to insert & into which files to make this work.

I've been staring blankly at the opened screen.css & index.php files from the Argos1 theme but I do not know how to proceed.

Any advice on how to do this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi crnogorac081,

Ok I've located that file & opened it in notepad++ but I'm still not sure what code I have to input & into which line?

Is this file for the admin (backend) or for the actual website? It is the actual website I am trying to place the images into the header & also into the top fixed content box.

I'm beginning to think I may be better off downloading a theme/template with an image intact then it would just be an easy job of replacing existing image with my own?

I hope that this is a not a misunderstanding.
Cognorac is talking about Argos Backend-Theme
and I think  you are talking about Argos1 Frontend Template.

Please make sure that you are both talk about the same thing.

Hi Jummy,

first of all: it's argOs, not argUs  :-D
I have edited your posts to change this. It's important to use the proper names, because of the forum search function.

With regard to your question: it seems to me that you don't have enough designer skills, because otherwise you wouldn't ask this question. You need some basic designer skills however, to change templates. It's as simple as that. So it's not a matter of giving you an instruction like "upload a file, and click this button to save". You have to have basic skills with css and html to do these kind of template changes.
