I've used Dreamweaver previously and I am currently using WeBuilder as my php editor. But I have just downloaded netbeans for php and it looks very good!
I am wondering if anyone else has a favourite php/web development IDE they would recommend?
Me too use WeBuilder, for all win users who are interested

P.S. netbeans too is a favorite
Currently Dreamweaver, very useful with its autocompletion, but there are still some annoying things that I don't like about it, like the prompt that asks me if I want to overwrite the local file when I want to open a file from the remote server.
I use PsPad, which is not an IDE, but it fits my needs.
Since i'm an integrator / developper, I have work with DreamWeaver, but CS5 works great.
Kate Texteditor :lol:
normal gedit...
during lazy days Netbeans+xdebug
PHPDesigner.
Sometimes Eclipse, but mostly for XMLs.
OfCource Netbeans is all time favorite...But I do like PHPDesigner. Any other Suggestion...
I feel when we go for bigger projects like Website, webApps we need a IDE that Support Many platforms...So netbeans is perfect one.....
I went back to WeBuilder, the new version has Smarty syntax. I think it is good value and easy to use. Netbeans looked nice but I just didn't like it.
for small things.. notepad++
and the "IDE" is Zend Studio (at work)
at home i use the WeBuilder..
Netbeans 7 and some Plugins for most common PHP-Frameworks.
Notepad++ und Cherry Tastatur mit 5 x 24 frei belegbaren Tasten..
phpDesigner, Notepad++ in most cases
In addition to phpDesigner for PHP and Topstyle for CSS/HTML:
Aptana for bigger projects: http://www.aptana.com/
It's based on Eclipse, but is specially made for web developers.
Zend for free but better.
fresh and new and OS is Geany (http://www.geany.org/Download/ThirdPartyPackages)

There's a bigger bomb on OSX, started recently with Coda 2... checked it few years ago but it matured,
with Git version control, FTP and SQL and can manage 10.000 files ;)
