Title: First website using WB
Post by: doc on August 17, 2006, 02:24:35 PM
First read about WB in the INTERNET Professional magazine.

After playing around a day with WB and trying some of the modules available, I decided to convert an existing side I am responsible for using WB. The template is calles Ya2CT (yet another two column template) and is available for download from the WebsiteBaker Addons repository.

Thanks for a real great CMS system which is easy to use (even for the customer).

That's exactly, why I started using it as well ... jump over to the wiki at the project page, there are a couple of nice tutorials :-)

cheers

Well said! It is exactly the right CMS because of how user friendly it is. Our school website is edited and maintained by user without much computer (HTML) knowledge.
Just because of WB's simplicity it is very easy for those people to edit their own content.

I hope this will continue to exist in the next version..

Hi snoppy,

thanks for the hint. Seems I´ve mixed up English and German a bit.

Hi Eduard,

I´ve used the simple CSS template which comes along with WebsiteBaker as starting point.
The template is validated XHTML transitional and works with IE5.0 to IE7 beta 2, Opera 6 to 9, NS6-9 and of course Firefox. I´ve used an image replacement technique to display the page header even if CSS or pictures are turned off.

So if anyone else is intersted in the template itself, I will share it with the community.

Best regards
Christian

Eduard and the ones intersted,

I´ve created a WB template of my website and contacted Klauz to test and publish the template on the WB repository (Addons page).

Regards
Christian

P.S.: Matthias has added my template to the Addons repository.
It´s called Ya2CT (Yet another 2-column template).
