Title: New WB site for local political party
Post by: flipt on September 01, 2007, 01:25:14 PM
Hi,

I finished my first WebsiteBaker site last June. I've got three more in the pipeline which will be released this month. These projects will be quite bigger than the first one. You can visit it at http://www.progenk.be (http://www.progenk.be)

Looks nice, well done. Did you integrate the mailing list in WB?

One small critic: I don't think the email-link in the menu is very friendly. Suddenly something pops up, whereas I expected information.

But otherwise: compliments. Regards,

Vincent

Hi flipt,

solid work! I Like it.

But i also believe, that a contact-form is the better solution. What about many, many people without any local email-client?

I don´tknow, if you are responsible for content. For downloads "Persmededelingen" i think, pdf is the better format, because it ist really platformindependent.

Regards

Uwe

Hi Vincent,
Hi Albatros,

Thanks for the opinions!

Concerning "Persmededelingen" (word was a bit too long, I changed it) and the mail pop up: I can't agree with you more. I discussed this with my client a few times, but they explicitly wanted a mailto link. I included a form on "Lid worden" which takes care of visitors interested in becoming a member.

I will send them some links to open source pdf generators they could use in order to offer pdf downloads instead of Word documents.

btw: the polls are made with Advanced Poll 2.07, since I didn't really like the WB poll solution.

I didn't integrate the mailing list function. The form used on "Nieuwsbrief" calls an external script on a third party server. They take care of the e-news letters sent out to registered users.

I really like WB, since it offers me complete freedom concerning the design. My clients can create new pages, take care of the content, without being able to mess up. And, since all pages are plain html/php, one can include either php function they like, regardless of the fact that it's a WB module or not. Excellent work!

Kind regards,
FlipT
