Menu title and URL

I have modified the core files to have three independent fields:

• page title
• menu title
• URL

I see that the page URL is based on the menu title of the page - not the page title, that shows up in the browser title bar. Is it possible to change this, so the URL reflects the page title tag and NOT the menu title?
