Template with some extras

hrioo

Thanks Vincent, I too heard if sIFR recently and thought it would make WB even cooler! Hope the author will work out a lot of its existing bugs in coming versions.

Luckyluke, that behaviour could be caused by sIFR, the text jumping certainly is. Chances are that ie6 & FF2 are reloading the flash movie on every page refresh but FF3 & ie7 load it from browser's cache so if you have a slower internet connection it may be more apparent. You can disable flash momentarily in FF (with flashblock extension) and see how it goes.

This version of sIFR is still in alpha stages so if it doesn't work for you just remove sIFR completely or visit their forums for a possible solution if you do like it. However, as mentioned earlier this template is also an experiment.

Hi,

There is some strange stuff happend in this template.

If you click a menu item in IE 6.0, the whole screen becomes black before you see the new page. And in FF 2, after you click on a menu item, the text shifts down a little bit.

Grtz,
Luc

Very beautiful, hrioo! Well done.
(I never heard of sIFR before, really interesting stuff.)

Vincent

Hello hrioo,

the template guidelines provide details about file naming conventions (e.g. no spaces in file names) and describe how certain files have to be named (e.g. template.css instead of screen.css).
One important part are the comment blocks to be added to each text file.

Having a quick look over your template I think your template already fullfills 90% of the requirments stated in the guidelines (not installed your template yet).
Would be cool, if you could rework the last 10% so we can upload your template to the addons repository.

However, thanks for your contribution, the templates looks quite nice.

Thanks Christian and yes i did create this template from scratch and actually did spend quite a bit of time on it. Took me a good bit of time to make it kind of generic so can be used for all kinds of purposes without much modification and also make it compatible with most major browsers.

I did glance over the template guidelines and to me it seemed to comply, however i'll read the guidelines more carefully when I get a chance. Meanwhile everyone is welcome to use this template.

The zip file in my previous post is done from folder level which can be uploaded to template folder and a "reload templates" from admin area will load it. The zip file on this post is from folder's content level which can be downloaded and installed from admin area.

Hello,

nice template thanks for your contribution. Have noticed some errors as mentioned below:
- template is wrong zipped (includes the folder cssdark, only files and folders below are right)
- the template is not according to the template guidelines which mean we will no post it on the addons repository (only minor changes are required to rework it according the guidelines)
- have you created the template from scratch or is it based on another template (license terms)

Regards Christian

I was going to list this template in the template contest thread that escpro started a few days ago but I'm not sure if it qualifies, since I've adapted 3 non WB scripts to it.

In any case, this is a dark colored template created from scratch. I've adapted the jquery library, Accordion Content script, and sIFR both as an experiment and to make it more exciting.

For instructions and information see the live demo http://foliopages/wb.
