How Can We Help WB?

ruebenwurzel

Hello,

QuoteCan someone summarize the major categories where common users (like myself) can help and who specifically they should "report to" for duty?

Thanks for your offer to help. Everyone is very welcomed. And you also noticed some points where help is needed.

Documentation writing/editing: We just start developping WB 2.8. As soon as we have the package together with all new features and possible even a new layout we need users who actualize the whole help project to the new version. So if you interested sen me a PM.

Module testing: Feel free to test all and then report errors and wishes here in the forum. But first try a search if it maybe is already discussed. If not at your infos to the moduls disussuion.

Module development: Feel free to develop new modules. Post and discuss them here in the forum. Additional contact erpe from the AMASP project for adding the new modules to his list.

In light of the current confusion about WB's general direction I have been wondering how it will all go forward. It was suggested here: https://forum.websitebaker.org/index.php/topic,11680.msg74541.html#msg74541

that if we are wondering where it is all going to go that we should offer to help and get involved. Good suggestion... but how?

Can someone summarize the major categories where common users (like myself) can help and who specifically they should "report to" for duty?

I imagine the list would like something like this:

Documentation writing/editing ... report to ...
Module testing... report to...
Module development ... post it to the forum and see what happens

I think this kind of basic organization is fundamental and has been lacking for quite some time. In order to restore or maintain confidence from "normal users" I think the WB core or developers or leaders (or whatever) should starting laying some tracks in terms of internal organization.
