QuoteWierd it wouldnt do the described behaviour in my firefox install, Internet Explorer 7, and in opera.
the seperators now have a uniform shorter size now (shorter than longest item).

That works. Looks good.

mostly good, Kevin but there's one ugly feature, the dropdown menu poll, that would be easy to fix.

The only thing that is making the dropdown menu so long is the dashes you're using for dividers. Make sure that the ---------------'s don't extend past the longest line, in this case Intel Macs. The longest line determines the width of a dropdown menu

fixed .. the osx intel entry is now shorter

What browser do you use?

The screenshot was from Firefox 1.5 Mac. But it looks the same in Windows Firefox or IE.

It wasn't the Intel Mac entry that was the problem but the string of dashes you use as separators. The overlap is still there. To see what I mean, try un-maximizing your browser window and dragging it narrower. Your page looks fine on a wide monitor but I keep my browser windows sized at about 900 pixels, as I like to tile windows.

Anybody who keeps a sidebar open will have the same problem I do.

Maybe half the size...

I'm not a designer. But the big images break the design a bit. Especially the terrible animated gif!

Thanks that works perfectly. Is there a way to have a logon option without the logon box ex. a link that changes to logon or logoff depending on the llogon state.

Now that's what I call old-school! I would use much small news item pics though.

Thanks. That was the look i was going for. It is also tested and working in the following browsers Opera, Firefox, K-Meleon, Mozilla Suite, Internet Eplorer, Konqueror, Epiphany.

What size would you recomend for the news items pics?

I see you use my poll module, nice ;)

Your module works great. Easier than using the "Form" module to do a poll.

keep up the good work

Nice website! I love the gallery - some very interesting computers are there.
I showed my dad the Tandy/Radio Shack page and he pointed out the computers he use to sell (at one stage he was Australian sales & marketing manager). 8-)

Thanks.
I search for the older oddities & new releases for my gallery. When was young i use a used TRS80 Color Computer II. Mostly the space invaders cartridge.

I have my own real computer collection:
Commodore Amiga 500

Pc Compatable
Toshiba T1100+
Nec Versa V50 laptop - removed damaged screen.
Compaq LTE-5000 P75 laptop

Apple
Mac Classic
Powermac 7200/75
Performa 6360

various external  50pin scsi devices.

My site is has computer history, computer gallery, iSpin launcher themes and more.

My new web provider dosn't provide ftp access. So i had to choose from WebsiteBaker and other CMS products (opensource). I dont regret choosing this. It works great and i look forward to version 3.
