Handing over show_menu2 to WB community

Hi Brofield

WebsiteBaker CMS would not be that good without SM2.

I would like to thank you for your efforts too.

Best wishes for the future and if you decide to return (one day?) you are more than welcome.

thanks

First let me thank you for the contribution you have made to the WebsiteBaker Project all these years.
I think the show_menu2 module has made a tremendous improvement from the day it was launched.

We are more than happy to officially adopt the show_menu2 module and maintain it as a standard part of the WebsiteBaker core.

Thanks again for all your great work on this.

Hi all,

I've decided that there isn't much point in me being involved in the show_menu2 development anymore. I rarely visit the WB boards, and for a few years now I have been involved in other things and so I've had minimal interest in developing for WB.

Since it isn't reasonable to keep involving myself in something that I have little demonstrated interest, I think it would be better if someone else stepped forward to take over sm2 maintenance and development. Since it is essentially part of the core WB now, I suggest that the plugin status is removed and it just becomes a core module. Whatever you wish to do.

In future, once the WB project is ready, I'll get rid of the google sm2 project, and the sm2 and sm2test pages from my website (or add redirects to relevant pages elsewhere).

Also, in case you are not aware, it has been possible to redirect all show_menu() and page_menu() calls through show_menu2 so that all menus are handled by sm2. You just need to uncomment the "include legacy.php" line in the main show_menu2 include file. This may be interesting if you wanted to get rid of the old show_menu/page_menu source.

Thanks for continuing the development of WB.

Best regards,
Brodie
