QuoteHi Martin,
sorry, but I cannot get what you are trying to tell me, but only the last part, that means to me "be patient".

....this was my main message.....in a multilanguage forum with mostly bad english (from non native speakers like me;) )

....there is so much room for misunderstandings and mistakes!

QuotePlease read them again and then see, if this is destructive...
And if critics and suggestions are reasons to close threads a lot of threads have to be closed.

ok - a next example - i HAVE read all posts from you ;)

critics and suggestions are importand and shouldn't closed or something BUT if you post it in a forum and GET NO answer that satisfied you......

you don't have to patiend or something you MUST live with this fact....unfortunately!

For me personally i can confirm your good suggestion:
QuoteI would prefer that, if a thread is closed, the closing one writes a short statement (only a few words) about the reason and not close threads without any notice.

I do this now!

i'll closed this thread because:

1. you wrote your last post
QuoteThis is my last comment on this, but I am sure, a lot of people within this "community" feel the same refering to the situation but won't comment for they don't want to be seen as a bad guy, black sheep or something like this.

2. the main reason why i answer here is to avoid that this thread again goes to personal attacks and other personal things that have nothing to do with WB or something else.

for example:

you spoke "for" John who could speak for him self - what his opinion is - what he will do (with his status or everything else)
QuoteAnd referring to John
I would only like to show, that posts of users are ignored if they are uncomfortable for the board.

you couldn't take a single quote as example and reference it to the whole situation!

you give answers that aren't the friendly or nicly and make people "feel" personal attacked....this is for sure very non objectiv but such decisions NEVER will be really objectiv!
Quote@Klaus
good to see you in the answering mode, even I don't need to comment your answer about violation.
It speaks for itself.
QuoteFirst of all: thumbs up Klaus!

you can't simpel make one of the last real working WB guys to a "bad guy" he is not really perfect for sure BUT WHO IS THIS! .....you? i? the people who was banned? the people who think go away is a solution?

this thread is closed - your suggestions are in the links from your last post and thats it for now!

best regards martin

This is in fact a good idea.

I also would like to encourage the Admins/Moderators to PM to the persons first, so they can edit their posts (and telling them why and what consequences it will have if not).

We shouldn't forget, that this is a support forum in first place.

Christian

Hi Martin,
sorry, but I cannot get what you are trying to tell me, but only the last part, that means to me "be patient".

It is a little bit unfair to call my posts like
Quote"wb and admins sucks"
If you had read my posts from the beginning (mid of September)
https://forum.websitebaker.org/index.php/topic,19297.0.html
and
https://forum.websitebaker.org/index.php/topic,19385.0.html
you would have seen, that there are some suggestions in there to analyze the problem and maybe to start solving.
Please read them again and then see, if this is destructive...
And if critics and suggestions are reasons to close threads a lot of threads have to be closed.

And referring to John
I would only like to show, that posts of users are ignored if they are uncomfortable for the board.

And at least:
I would prefer that, if a thread is closed, the closing one writes a short statement (only a few words) about the reason and not close threads without any notice.
And that is exactly what happened twice in my case.

This is my last comment on this, but I am sure, a lot of people within this "community" feel the same refering to the situation but won't comment for they don't want to be seen as a bad guy, black sheep or something like this.
I personally don't care about my "title". It is more important for me to post what should be said.

Quotereally neutral users as Forum Admins to avoid the charge to be discriminatory.

first WHAT is neutral ;) everyone has his own situiation, statement, opinion!

neutral in a forum is to follow up the rules and be a little bit integrity - NOT meant to be inplied about ongoing things or dont critisize....;)

it's a human right to say/write what you think - but not in a community where others could getting hurt - personal attacked - or discriminated.......

......and it is a fact that where people work "together" there are misunderstandings and mistakes......but this failings should be solved by the people who have this misunderstandings - and NOT strange - noninvolved - THIRDS!  :wink:

@laetta: belive me there are other mods here, too that can close a thread ;)

but unfortunally it seems that nobody could answer your questions right?

ok let's see what we have:

-> you've questions - important questions....
-> nobody give's you an answer....

because why? maybe

-> less time?
-> nobody here?
-> nobody read it?
->

Show something constructive, than, maybe, also Klaus will take you a little bit serious.
For myself, you're just another hatie-hatie guy.

future things that could happen:

-> someone of the board answer to your questions
-> this and every thread of you that sends "wb and admins sucks" messages in this forum will be closed....if you wish not from klaus...;)

-> you could be paitient until the things in the WebsiteBaker Org e.V. are clear and further steps are official....

i would prefer the last one!

best regards
Martin

I'd really recommend that not the ones that are involved in this case decide about closing a thread or banning of a user. They are prejudiced.

So, please appoint some reliable and really neutral users as Forum Admins to avoid the charge to be discriminatory. It's just for your own's best.

I want to apply for forum admin/mod..

Hello Lotta,

as I stated before, I don't know who you are or what intentions of yours for the community: simply never seen any positive contribution.

As seen here:
Quote from: laetta on September 28, 2010, 12:39:46 PM
btw: John asked you to remove his development status
For me it seems that you are after to destroy the project. Encouraging people to leave.

In my opinion the right for criticism is given for those really being involved in the progress, with some "production record".
All you demonstrate is criticism, and it doesn't seem to me being the right way.

Show something constructive, than, maybe, also Klaus will take you a little bit serious.

For myself, you're just another hatie-hatie guy.

@Klaus

good to see you in the answering mode, even I don't need to comment your answer about violation.
It speaks for itself.
But will there still come any further answers to the open questions yet?   :?

btw: John asked you to remove his development status
QuoteCould the developer status be removed from my acount please before someone might think I have something to do with it!
I am sure there wasn't enough time to follow yet.

and keep in mind: those who are critics want to improve, others will simply turn away...

What do you want, this thread is neither closed nor has your friend been banned. He/She wanted to know why the other thread was closed and I gave her the answer .... anyway, because of the same reasons this one should be banned as well, for the same reasoning ... but I didn't!

Violation against Terms and Conditions:

QuoteThe Final Word
Always remember: The moderator(s) and/or administrator(s) will make the final decision.
It is the moderator(s) and/or administrator(s) decision (and right) to:

    * Close a thread
    * Delete a thread
    * Ban/delete a user

If you post a thread questioning why a thread has been deleted, that will be deleted also.
If you have a problem and think the decision made was wrong or unfair, send one of the moderator(s) or administrator(s) a PM or email.

At least I did not change the pw to your account.

Hello
Again a thread of mine has obviously been closed so I have to start a new one.
https://forum.websitebaker.org/index.php/topic,19385.0.html
What is the idea behind this and what should be achieved?

QuoteI think Laetta and others only want to have some answers to their questions.
Thanks John, you are absolutely right.

@Luisehahne
I am still wondering why a member of develoment team is appearing and acting  as a forum moderator.
Should these kind of  posts not be done by forum moderators or much better by forum team leader?

QuoteThis kind of posts are violating the terms and conditions of this forum!
What exactly do you claim for violation against forum terms.
Please answer detailed for it is good to know for the community, what exactly is prohibited as there are many post here in the forum that are really bad and aiming against others directly without any respect. And knowing what is laimed to be a violation people can avoid being banned.
And please keep in mind, the following quote came from the board:
QuoteWebsiteBaker believes in the right of "Freedom of speech"

At least I am still wondering why John is allowed to post in a thread that seems to be closed for me.
https://forum.websitebaker.org/index.php/topic,19297.msg130651.html#msg130651
There would not have been any need for me to open a second one.

PS: fyi: someone deleted my pw while being logged in. This is more than "big brother is watching you"
