I've used a commercial player Wimpy Button http://www.wimpyplayer.com/ ($19 US) It's Flash based and streams full quality mp3s without using Real or Quicktime servers. Most of the streaming players compress the audio. You can see it live on http://jennydavisjazz.com/pages/music.php

Do you just use the insert flash button in the editor?

Hugo

No. The Wimpy player site will create the Flash code for each song. I used that and inserted the HTML straight into the page. That allows you to set some parameters like auto-play or looping. It also lets you set the button size, so IMO is worth the time.

Nice!  Looks to me like it's worth the $19 just because 99% of people have flash as opposed to lower percentages of Quicktime or Windows media.

A player in the page isn't too bad.  Assuming you're using the WYSIWYG editor, you will not be able to just click and have an mp3 player.  That is a little beyond the scope of the editor.  You can still insert it, though.  First, you'll need to pick an application to play it (Windows Media Player, quicktime, etc...).  Next, you'll need to find some code to put the object into the page (example: http://hotwired.lycos.com/webmonkey/01/49/index2a_page4.html?tw=multimedia).  Finally, to insert the code in the WYSIWIG editor, you'll need to click on the "< >" picturetoolbar to toggle HTML editing mode.  Then insert the code wherever you want it to appear in your page.

Hope that works for you, or at least helps!

Hello,

I am usign mambo for several sites at the moment, but always looking for something else :-).

Testing Website Beker right now on my local machine and trying to figure how to easily insert an mp3 ion a page. Not an ordinary download link, but a player in the page. Mambo has this in the form of mosmedia. I need a function like that since my content is quite loaded with mp3's (well at least 1 per page), as you can see on my website.

Does WB has something similar?
