How to put NEWS and WYSIWYG block next to one another?

Argos

No need to use droplets, just set 2 blocks in your config and html/css.Then place the news and wysiwyg in the two blocks. This is just regular core WB stuff, no need for workarounds. It doesn't matter if the content blocks are under and above each other, or next to each other, that is just css positioning.

So, the "Show Sections" droplet works only with WYSIWYG-sections, I couldn't include the NEWS-block. However, after adjusting the template I was able to keep the news and get the content from a hidden sub-page via the droplet.

In other words, it works. But it was not as easy as I pictured. Well, it hardly ever is. ;)

Thanks very much for your help!

You could probably do it with css and just enclose the two blocks in divs with a width of 45% each.

There is also a "section picker" Droplet somewehere.
I can imagine that Klaus had this one in mind, while writing his respond.

Nope, unfortunately not working.
The Section Picker Add-on doesn't work the way I imagined, at least I can't find a way to put the Sections next to each other, only above and below.

And the Global Blocks would be a good way, but my hosting provider has set url_allow_include to off, so this is also not possible.

Am I missing something? Or are there any other ideas?

Custom template and "Global Blocks" (also section picker) is your answer. And WB supports templates on a page basis, so you can create a template specific for 1 page.

Hi guys!

I have a design-question and I don't know whether it is possible to realize it with WebsiteBaker.
Right now the main page of my website looks like this:

Header Header Header Header
--------------------------------
Menu | News and/or Content
Menu | News and/or Content

I would like to redesign it to this:

Header Header Header Header
--------------------------------
Menu | News and/or Content | WYSIWYG
Menu | News and/or Content | WYSIWYG

My question is, is there a way to put a WYSIWYG block right to a NEWS block. Right now I only see a way to put it above or below one. But next to one?

Or could I do this with a special template just for this one page? And if so, how can it be done?

I would only see an option to make this hardcoded into the template. But if I wanted to change the WYSIWYG-content on the right, I would have to do this manually. Doing it inside WebsiteBaker with the WYSIWYG module would be my intention.

Thanks in advance for any help!
