Hello,

@klaus
I think pevone didn't mean the repeat of a thread in a WB installation, i think he meant he couldn't repeat of a thread here in the Forum. This is only possible when you are a registered user.

That is normal, it is not a bug. What I've done (and lots of others as well) is, I installed XAMP by apachefriends.org locally to test WB and all modules, templates and languages. It gives you also the ability to play around with WB a bit more befor going to a live site.

With the Lincense you need to make the part of the link clear in the documentation of your template (the release post in the forum here and the info(.)php of the template).

Personally I look forward to see your release of this framework as a template.

cheers

Unbelievable!

I just started a search (google.de) with: "yaml WebsiteBaker"
... and what was the first page?
THIS THREAD.

And 3. - on topic:

Well, you can download and use that YAML-Template (only the link to yaml.de has to be on the homepage).
And I can "convert" it, that I can create new content (new sites) with WebsiteBaker?

"To have a look at the available templates hop over to addons.WebsiteBaker.org (it actually relocates to the currently active mirror). and choose the link templates. You can preview every template available there. Maybe one fits your needs."

Yeah, I already looked at each template.
But the problem is, that you can't "test" them.
If you click at a menulink, the other site loads.
So I cant see, how the menu "reacts", when I click at a link.

And I will read (&learn) the article ( -> CSS),
but want first some practise.

does this design exist as template? If yes, just convert it. With the differen menu function (show_menu and show_menu2) and the ability to style them the way you want it is no bother at all.

For the basics of a WB template hop over to the wiki (projects link on top) and go into the documentation. The template tutorial (although a bit older) is available in English and German language.

Both the menu functions with the relevant options are discussed already wuite a lot here in the forum. Personally I would choose the show_menu2 function for your requirements.

To have a look at the available templates hop over to addons.WebsiteBaker.org (it actually relocates to the currently active mirror). and choose the link templates. You can preview every template available there. Maybe one fits your needs.

My personal Tip (after all the other personal tips ;-)) is to read and follow the whole article you posted the link to, it's always good to learn something new.

cheers for now

Klaus

PS: Welcome to the wonderful world of WB. If German is your language, we have a german cildboard in the support forum.

Hello! I am new to WB. It seems to be a great CMS.
After 1-2 minute of use, you understand everything. It's pretty easy and clear.

And now I got a question.
I know html, but I am not so good in CSS.
My website shall be VALIDE and it shall have a small and simple/clear/small code.
Thats the most importan point.

I would like a website,
where I got a top navigation (horizontal)
and a menu (left, in the 1. col)

If you click on a link in the top navigation,
the menu in the first col changes!

but, the menu on the left col shall ALWAYS stay at the same position (it shall not get bigger/smaller, etc)
I dont mean frames, but there are some CSS page i know, where the menu is always the same, it doesnt matter how long the links are.

And if that all is possible, and only then!! ... would it be possible,
to get 3 cols?

In other words: I would like to have a desing like this:
http://yaml.de/yaml_einfuehrung.html

If you click there at the link in the top navigation "XHTML Struktur"
the part above (with the top navigation, the header) does NOT reload.
And the menu left does NOT change the position.

I think it's called: the 1. col is "fixed", but i am not sure about it.

Is this possible?
Is there a template already? (no css skills)

sorry for my english -.-
