Band website

Thanks for the tip on Firebug. Will download and install it later!

This template was a custom design specifically for this client, so I am unable to release it to the public.

I did look at that thread earlier. Maybe I will try to come up with another design that could be entered and publically released.

Hello,

the tip with images off, CSS off and images + CSS off was published on Bulletproof Webdesign by Dan Cederholm. In addition to the Webdeveloper Extensions, I am using Firebug.

Have you thought about attending on the template contest with your template?

I do use Firefox, and have been using the Web Developer toolbar for the past few years.  I don't know how I ever worked without it - great tool to have! ;)

Hello,

yes, now you can read the text and all links even if images are not displayed in the Browser. If you are using Firefox, you can download the Webdeveloper Toolbar which enables you to make such checks on the fly (all images off, all CSS off, Windows size, validate HTML/CSS ...).

Thanks for the feedback! :)

The image menu on the left is static, and is hard-coded into the template.  It consists of one image for each main section page, and the hover effect is done in the css file using opacity.  The images are in the media folder, so if I have to add another main section, all I have to do is upload the new image to the media folder, then use the template editor to add it to the template, rather than having to uninstall/reinstall the whole theme.

I had hoped to find a way to do it dynamically, but wasn't able to.

Doc - I've made the container background color white now. Could you please check it again and see if that is better?

Fully agree with Klaus, your homepage looks nice and very professional.
For users who switched off showing pictures in the Browsers the menues at the bottom are not visible any more and the text is hard to read. So think off spcifying a background color for the content div.

In the case you are using a tequnique to create the left naviagation images on the fly when creating a new page in WB, would you share the know how with the community?

Just completed a redesign for a client's website, and used WebsiteBaker.

The band's name is Faded Sympathy, and they are based out of Columbus, Ohio.

Feedback (good or bad) most appreciated!  :-)
