WebsiteBaker 2.7.0 (stable) Released!

Luckyluke

Look at the home page. There is a big and nice button with the text "download"...  :-D

linh

I don't see the download link anywhere...

Hello,

the upgrade script should work from WB 2.6.5 onwards. Details about the upgrade process are linked on the project start site: http://start.websitebaker2.org/en/wb-2.7.php

If you are using a version below 2.6.5, please upgrade first to WB 2.6.5 and then to WB 2.7 as written on the Help website (upgrade from previous version).

OK sorry for not being with you for a while...... but I'm back to a CMS that still is the best!  :-D

A question: By now my version seems to old to update...? (I think it's 2.6.5 or even older).
How do I go updating this? New installment and use the same database? copying the same plugins to the new folder?

Thanks a lot in advance!

I just installed this - I was afraid to update and mess up my work. :) I have to say I have always been impressed by WB but everyone involved gets a big clap on the back from me. Really great.

Thanks for the info, I moved my question over to the correct forum.

Cheers!

There is one, Marc. Don't know if your problem is addressed there, but here's the thread for all wb2.7 core questions:

Is there a thread where we can ask post-upgrade questions, or is this the best place to do so?  I updated a production site and everything seems to be working, except I don't see the admin tools link in the backend, which makes administering site options quite difficult (but the public side works just fine).

EDIT: if I try to access the admintools folder manually (logged in, of course), I get the following message:

"Insufficient privelliges (sic) to be here"

Again, great job, guys!

Hello,

all official modules from the addons page should work with WB 2.7. The unsupported and unofficial Modules (you find attached here in the forum) you have to test. Basically if they don't work correct in WB 2.6.x versions they also do not work correct in WB 2.7 and on ther other hand most of them wich work in WB 2.6.x should also work in WB 2.7.

Sorry if i missed the answer to this:

1 is there an easy way to know which module addons will work with v2.7 ?

2 if not, is there instructions for module conversion ?

it would be great to see some extra info listed with each module in the addons sections that states what versions the module is compatible with  :-)

thanks in advance.

Hello,

we are currently in the phase of reworking the download section. For example it does not make too much sense to offer downloads for the outdated WB version below 2.6.7 etc.

Once we have re-organized things, we have removed the download link from the top menues and added a redirect which points to start.websitebaker2.org.

Isn't it about time you updated the DOWNLOAD- link at the top menubar of this site? It still links to old versions.
Version 2.7 is only downloadable from the homepage of this site.

Hello,

Quote from: iceatwe really should do something about that i would be happy to help.
There are proposals for improved backend designs which we may implement with a next release. However, feel free to create your proposal of an alternate backend design and post it in this thread.

hi guys

I'm using website baker quite a long time now and it really is the best open source cms there is. 2.7 has some really nice new features, but guys ... the layout of the backend is awful, terrible, appalling, dreadful, horrible, terrifying, frightful, terribly, horribly, ... we really should do something about that :) i would be happy to help.

Hello,

the error message was caused by the fact that you visited the WebsiteBaker project start site just in the moment we updated the project site to WB 2.7. Update is finished, so the download should work again.
