Green Theme for Pastoral Care

also on the misaligned items, if you use a margin-left: 0px; css call (as a class or id) it should work out too.... just a thought.

DGEC,

Thanks for the pointers. I still have content to add, just trying to figure out how to organize it. I'll have to fix the typos also.

The strange thing is that I have the exact same problem with the bullet points on another site that I built, with a totally different method of layout.

Glad to see you're using CSS instead of tables, but I suspect the <LI> items (and the donation checkboxes) offset is because of the main content wrapping around the menu box, as the problem stops just after it.

Try adding an empty, dummy page or two so the menu gets longer and if more of the List items are shoved over... there you go!

I'm not very good with CSS but but you might be able to squeeze the menu a little tighter. Looks like you have enough extra pixels left over after the link titles.

Otherwise, you may have to figure out how to float under so that the menu doesn't wrap the main column, but then indent the content div, or improve the box settings on the menu. I know that IE and Firefox etc don't handle box flow or overflow or wrap (something like that!) quite the same, but I'm out of my depth past that.

I recommend installing the sitemap module as well.

And a worthwhile site. (Couple of typos on the mission statement btw. And its a little hard to mentally parse that initial list. Might want to make it into 2 actual lists. Big mission statement!)

Also, I would recommend the PCMI Online graphic be dropped down a few pixels as its hiding the full name. Maybe a different fill shade on the full name, or add darker outline to the big text to make it a bit more readable. The two whites blur together.

One other thing - not sure how much more content you have to add, but I would want to know something more about the actual organization, if there is a denominational affiliation or not, etc, a statement of faith (especially since you're asking pastors to send their's in, eh?! ), if PCMI is a registered charity, how long its been around, how many pastors, members, etc.  You might want to put some of the financial information like that in an actual document rather than just on the website.

Very nice, colors are well done and layout is very smooth. A lil too much of a "bloggish" look for me, but it still looks very good. Good work!

Hi,

Nice looking site. Thought you may like to know, I followed the link to your Folck Media site and your Flash stuff is great crashed my Firefox -- twice. It ran fine on Netscape 7 though so it's probably the Firefox plug in that's to blame.

pcwacht. you know I have the exact same problem on other sites that I've built. The left menu pushed the ul, and I can't figure out how to stop it.

Looks good!

IN IE6 on WindowsXP the list on the startpage isn't vertical aligned correctly.
From the 3 item the list goes a bit to the left.

Same as the checkboxes on the donation page
looks kinda like this:

Hello,

Here is another site I built with WSB for a non-profit company that takes care of retired pastors in the Philippines. The design is an original.

I'm still adding content
