Is this solution you have available on AMASP? I'd like to take a look. Thanks for your response.

its a german topic....droplet code is english

"einsatz" means "mission"
.....i create this droplet for a fire department site to get a simple picturegallery if the folder exists!

i used this in Topics Optionfield like this [[einsatz?dir=[XTRA1]&link=y]]

it works if XTRA1 "folder" exists it shows the "minigallery" if not it shows alternative content (No pics there) or you could set it to nothing or default picture....

Have fun

i've a similar solution on my desk for the topics module....and a little droplet.

If you write an article in topics and there exists a folder
(name of the folder is set by a "xtra" field in topics) then it use a random pic from there as topicspicture (in the article) automatically.
And with combination of the pictures and the foldergallery it uses the thumbs for topics overview page...
with topics a mediablog or everything you want is possible!

kind regards martin

I wanted to review Photoshop brushes and some textures on my site's blog - you know the type of posting "Top 25 [whatever] this week.' SmashingMagazine does this a lot

http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2010/08/12/30-new-free-high-quality-fonts-typography/

I don't want to link to all those images remotely but downloading and resizing alll of those, then reuploading makes it time consuming to do this on a regular basis. What would be great is some sort of droplet perhaps that would allow you to insert a remote link to an image, and a max width, and auto-magically grab it, resize to max width, save it to your image folder, and generate the local link.

ie

[[InsertRemoteImage?url=http://www.somesite.com/someimage.jpg&maxwidth=400]]

Then you could write an article, and right click and paste in multiple remote url's, save the page to do all the magic stuff.

I am not sure if this is possible with a droplet or a new magic link button on the editor - but it would be cool. :)
