Announcement WebsiteBaker 2.8.3

We originally planned the release of WebsiteBaker 2.8.3 for Christmas 2011. Due to changes based on community contributions and additional bug-fixes we moved the release to End of January 2012 to give the beta-testers time for testing after their personal holiday preparations.

With the release of WebsiteBaker 2.8.3 we will not include further extensions. Bug-fixes will be presented as hot-fixes and service packs.

The reason for this is the inclusion of all features and fixes into the development of WebsiteBaker 2.9. Community suggestions, features and fixes will be discussed and evaluated and then included into the To-do list for WebsiteBaker 2.9. with the required adaptations.

Thanks a lot also to all community members who took their time to report existing bugs and helped us solving them in the 2.8.2 Version of WebsiteBaker. This was the only way to get WebsiteBaker to be the secure and stable CMS that it currently is.

Currently all the tests of WebsiteBaker 2.8.3 have been finished and after reworking parts of the documentation we will release 2.8.3 towards the End of this month.

Since we are in continuous contact with the beta-testers via skype we are able to quickly identify upcoming issues and solve problems in a timely manner. Additionally we are constantly monitoring the forum to be able to quickly help users witht problems that might arise.
