How did you get the descriptions, both the short one and the longer one, in your gallery? What gallery are you using for this-I didn't think you could do this? ( Example)

Hey there  :-D . i see your point about the green in the menu, its not quite right. The header I think would have been realy nice to have as this http://liquid-jewellery.com/templates/allcss/header.gif  but like i say, IE cant seem to cope with it.  :x It runs fine in firefox  :|  I like the idea of a border aswell.    :-D  The page shifting .. unless im missing something, I  can only see it jump  in FF but this is due to the page size... if the page will fit on the screen FF doesnt use the scroll bar so if you then go to a page that does it adds the scroll bar so the side wich make it look like the page jumps. IE allways has the scroll bar down the side whether it needs it or not.

Thanks for the comments

whatever

The green rollover on your left column navigation is out of place with the blue. The rollover color should be a color already in use on your Website.

The header is a bit bright. You might want to try adding a little transparency to it to tone it down just a smidgen. Same goes for the footer - it'll help your copyright stand out more.

I would also consider adding a border to the main page to reduce the ragged look.

Some of your pages seem to shift some.

QuoteQuestion:
Did you realize that in Firefox, that nice liquid blue logo doesn't.... wait... now its there!? Weird - was just slow I guess.

someone standing on the wire i guess

QuoteHow did you create the paypal cart at the jewellery site? Isn't the go-cart module only "buy one item at a time" or did you write more code?

I could never get the go cart module to work to be honest. I had a good old fashioned html site untill i found websit baker, so i had made all the paypal buttons from the paypal site interface. i just copy and pasted the code.

The way the paypal system is on the victoria-sponge site was the same as liquid-jewellery, untill yesterday. its on my list of things to do to make it the same for victoria-sponge.

As i say i had wrongly assumed you couldnt put html code in the description part of the galley module. It was only because i was adding another product and i pasted the code in the wrong place that i found out.

BUT I'm not sure if I looked at it some time ago, but when I tried out the "add to cart", there was already an item in the cart.  I think I might have looked at it, a month ago when you first posted the site.
You might want to think about putting an "expiry date" on the pay-pal cookie, if that's possible.

I think that kind of thing is in paypals hands. i allways get rid of cokies/cache etc regularly so i must admit i have not noticed this. Id have to asume it would be from the last time you visited the site.

thanks for the feed back  :-D

Nice clean and functional sites.

QuoteIdealy there would be a way of integrating the galley section with the purchasing section. so you could just include the paypal button below each picture in the gallery. but thats no big deal.

I have just figred out that i assumed wrongly that you can not enter html into the discription area for the gallery.

Just thought id just  let anyone know if they were after the same sort of thing as me that you can indeed put a paypal button for example under the (enlarged) pics in the gallery.

kweitzel

nice ones ... just mazbe take a look at the initial page size ... so that it does not flow out of the 1st screen ... so mazbe make it a bit smaller I think you can expect users to have 1024X768 px ...

but still, I like the aproach you took here ...

cheers

hey folks, once again thanks for the great tools. i have been doing html sites for a while now but its so quick to bake a site i think i have to stick with it  :-D  Anyway here is my first site

http://www.liquid-jewellery.com   Its based on the all css template with a couple of tweaks. I wanted to include this http://liquid-jewellery.com/templates/allcss/header.gif as the header. works fine on Firefox, but IE has some real trouble displaying it. the site locks up and you cant click on the links.. but i have come to expect that of IE    Idealy there would be a way of integrating the galley section with the purchasing section. so you could just include the paypal button below each picture in the gallery. but thats no big deal.
