If someone knows of a better way to do this please halt me ASAP ;) !!!
I wouldn't know any better solutions using existing modules...

I am (and probably many others are) very interested in seeing the result of this project..

Ok, so I guess nobody has tried to install multiple WB copies on the same server. I guess having hundreds of small WB copies will be less demanding for the server than having a huge DB with hundreds or thousands of WB groups. And I also think there will be less work required in upgrading the Bakery module on each copy than having to edit the module installation package each time an upgrade is available.

I have started by installing 5 WB mini sites on my server and will be publishing them this week to see how it goes. The idea is to give each mini site owner the ability to edit their information on my site, so that they can upload their catalogs and publish their company news themselves.

I am planning on going further to a about a hundred mini sites during this year and maybe about a thousand next year. If someone knows of a better way to do this please halt me ASAP ;) !!!

Hello, it's exciting to see there is a new Bakery update however I'm disappointed that it didn't include the possibility of Multiple Shops that Markus and others had proposed. I haven't tried the current proposed solution of chaning all instances of BAKERY, Bakery and bakery to something like bakery1, bakery2 and reinstalling the module again and again because my goal is to have hundreds (if not thousands) of shops each managed by their owners.

So I came up with the idea of installing multiple WB mini sites on my server, each with it's single Bakery shop managed by the shop owner. But since I am no expert I don't know if having hundreds or thousands of WB mini sites on my server could cause a problem to the server (or, maybe having so many smaller databases it would be a good thing for the server?)
