Huh? that's probably a false positive of defender. At least 58 scan engines at VirusTotal don't find anything suspicious in there... (at least at the time of writing this post). It would be interesting to know what defender doesn't like here.

I remember years ago we had a similar case with the java script for spam protection included in the wb core package.

Symantec does not strike,
what threat is it supposed to be according to Micrsoft?

well... a quick&dirty fix. Here is a pre-release, but with this one the leading and trailing spaces may occur here and there where they couldn't so far because the invalid input was rejected up to now

Hello, i think this is a function of mpForm (not WB).
The author of mpForm (Martin aka mrbaseman) could have a fast solution.

Hello everyone,

On my website i'm using a form that is created withe the mpform module.
I have a problem with the validation of the email address field.
I think this validation is done by some function off WebsiteBaker.
The problem is that there are a lot of people who type a space after their email adress, and then the form reject the email address.
I know that there is a php function called "trim" to remove spaces on the beginning and the end of a string.
Is it possible to apply this function on the email addres field or on the function that validates the email?

Does anyone have a solution for this? I know a littlebit of php but not enough to find my way in the WebsiteBaker code.
