Newbie has some Questions

Hi Sufie,

a couple of weeks ago a german childboard to the "Help/Support" Board was started. You get the same help there (in your native language: http://forum.websitebaker.org/index.php/board,31.0.html)

Now to your questions:

1) During upload you can change this. instead of uploading the folder WB to the root of your webspace, you upload the content of this folder ... there you go, the URL is not /WB anymore.

2) Usage of those Editors is a bit different in all cases. You will need to test them for yourself. There is no saying this one is better than that one. I think beside HTML-Area, which is the default editor, lot's of people use FCK-Editor. I personally use "Xinha".

3) There are lot's of templates available (together with Modules and Languagefiles) on the Add-On Repository. You can find pure css and table based ones. Regarding the "changing it yourself" ... it is not hard to do so, I found it even easy to create my own ones was easier than to change existing templates ... But also there is help, I have translated a Tutorial about the Templates. You can find it here.

Greetings back behind the "Weisswurst Aequator" ...

cheers

Klaus

Hello to all,
I found WebsiteBaker over a German PC-magazin an I like it very much and would like to use it for me.
But I have some questions and hope you can help me. As my English unfortunately is not very well, I have problems so search here, as I do not know the right expression words for the search.

1. Question:
In the PC magazin I'm told, that after installation the site will be in www.mydomain.de/wb, but I woult like to have it directly in the main level, I mean unrer www.mydomain.de. Is ist possible to install it in that way an if so, what must I do during installation, that WebsiteBaker will be installed there an work well?

2. Question:
In modules there are many different wysiwyg-Editors, like html-area. Which one is best? I know that using these Editors will mostly be not W3C conform, but perhaps you can tell me, which one comes next to W3C-standards.

3. Question:
If I have a template I can change it slightly the way I prefer it. But I do not trust me to build a new template.
Therefore my question: Is there already somwhere a free template in pure CSS? And perhaps smoewhere a template that has a parted menu? With parted menue I mean, that the main menue Links are on top displayed horizontally and the submenue links on the left site vertically?

I hope you can understand what I mean, again sorry for my bad English.
Btw. it seems right what somebody wrote here: I tried to register here but I dod not get the login email. Therefore I'm sorry I have to write the questions here.

Greetings from Bavaria
