I'm not a website developer at all, but I managed to make this site for a friend with WB.

www.vincentschaap.nl

He is very happy with it, so so am I :-)

There are still a few things that need to be fixed:
- the submenu's are not very clear
- He wants a stats counter on the site (on a hidden page)

But for now it's good enough to go online

Please let me know what you think...

I see that you do not use captcha for your contact page.
Hopefully the spambots do not find you :|

I hope it's not that bad, I really don't want that captcha thing on the page

We'll see

I'll have a look at that menu stuff

thanks

Opensource is my life, but then elsewhere.

I like the simple look, though a little "boxy".

For the submenus did you try to alter your show_menu commands to show the children of the current page? That way they would always be under the root level page, making it much clearer and keeping all your navigation in one spot. I went looking for your subpages. I would suggest downloading show_menu2 from the Add-Ons Repository and use this:
show_menu2(0, SM2_ROOT, SM2_MAX+1);

For the counter there are tons of free PHP scripts for hits counters. Just insert one into a code page (make sure to take out all the <?php references) and set the visibility of that page to "Hidden".

Keep on bakin'!

Jos, not bad for a firsttimer ... ;-)

For menu structures have a look over at css.maxdesign.com.au ... listamatic for simple lists and listamatic2 for nested lists.

cheers
