New Template: Transition

Will look at the nesting issues soon, the new menu function is something I can handle sooner.

Here is my sandbox:

With the theme in action.

Hello Dominic,

you are right, the text quotes to provide a link if possible (that was what I meant in my first post). This makes it easy to check e.g. the validity of external CSS or markup used.

However, just installed the template on my local test environment (XAMPP) so here are my comments. Very nice template, like the layout. The W3C validator found about 10 errors (most related to wrong nested ul / li tags). You are using the outdated function page_menu, this should be replaced with the replacement function show_menu (see Help website section Advaced Docu for details).

Thanks for your contribution.

I appreciate that, I will need to install a sandbox somewhere on my site to do that.  Give me a few hours (or a day depending on work load) and I will do my best.

Testing obviously would require someone else to load it into an independent install, so I welcome you to download it and try that as well.

Just for clarification, the template site states:

   1.  create a new thread in the WB forum board: Show case
   2. attach your template as compressed file (*.zip); provide a link to a live site if possible
   3. ask the community to provide some feedback
   4. once reviewed by the community, create a installation package including:
          * all template files in zipped format (*.zip)
          * licence terms must be clear (e.g. GNU GPL or Creative Commons)
          * provide a link to to the licence terms in the info.php file of your template
          * add a preview image of your template (preview.jpg, 400px wide, 300px high)
          * optional: add screenshot in higher resolution (screenshot.jpg, e.g. 1152 x 864)
   5. send Matthias Gallas (ruebenwurzel) or Klaus Weitzel (kweitzel) a PM to upload your template

Hello Dominic,

if I remember right, the text on the Add-ons site also asks to add a link to a live preview  :-)
This would help others to view your template without installing it first.

Per the requirements on the template add on site, I am posting a new template here, based on a CSS template I have used for other sites.

I always accept feedback, constructive if at all possible.

Dominic
