Copy the menu part from the index.php and the CSS file from the ALLCSS2 template into the Multiflex template.
There are 3 ccs file in ALLCSS2. Which file and which section?

Use the menu part of the screen.css file, and the menu part of the template. Incorporate them into the other css and template.

To solve the problem with the menu, just use the menu of the ALLCSS2 template. Copy the menu part from the index.php and the CSS file from the ALLCSS2 template into the Multiflex template. Also copy the file csshover.htc from the ALLCSS2 folder into the Multiflex folder. This is a small file needed for IE6, otherwise it won't show the sub menus.

Style the CSS of the menu so that it fits the Multiflex style. Maybe I'll post that info later myself.

Not sure if this is the same problem as above...

I want to have a 3 level navigation system. The first level (the normal menu you can see) works fine. Then the 2nd level (the dropdown works ok). When you add a 3rd level (should come out from the side of 2nd level) is when it runs into dramas.

Is Multiflex 5 designed to be able to run a 3 level horizontal dropdown, or is it only a 2 level? If its only a 2 level, are there any other templates that run a 3 level? I have implemented a few of my own, but have just discovered they dont work properly, and the sm2 code that drives it all is making my head hurt!

Hi,

Same problem as Multiflex-3. Haven't been able to solve this so far.
Temporary solution: Use more than one top-level menu to get it working.

Erik

Great template!

I'm having problems getting the drop down working.
I'm using the latest release of WB with integrated shov_menu and the 5.11 version of the template.

The submenu links are shown next to the top level menu link.

@bgg,

for your convenience find attached a template that contains the two other content blocks 'NEWS' and 'SIDEBAR' in the sidebar of the template. To add content to these blocks, take a page, add a section and place it in one of the two other blocks.

However if you want a block to be 'global'. eg to show the latest news items in the sidebar of every page with the help of the 'Display News Anywhere' snippet, you would have to edit the template it self and put the function into the block over there.

Hope this helps you somewhat. There is also information on adding blocks in the help-section (Designer Guide).

best regards,
Erik

@bgg,

You are right: the only mandatory one is show_menu2(). For the rest, the template is rather flexible. You can do with it whatever you want. As posted in this thread, the template has three menu's and two blocks, but you can change it as you like. Thus for example you can add a block, which e.g. shows the latest news items at the sidebar by using the Show News Items Anywhere code snippet.

Erik

@marathoner,

I fixed this in the original CSS. See the new version (attached).
Regarding other CSS-options: I wanted to leave them intact as much as possible, although I think there are still some things that can be changed, but that's a personal feeling.

Erik

@Eki

Great job. I did notice that some of the menu links "shift" to the right. For example, I've attached a screen print to show you how the "Links" page looks on my XP/FF browser.

Hi all,

Please find attached a new template. Just like Multiflex-3 this also uses show_menu2.
It contains 3 menu's: one on Top (below the flag-symbols), one main menu and one extra menu in the right column.

Furthermore the basic parts are in, but the template is very flexible. It now contains two columns, but can rather easy be adapted to contain three columns. It is the basic package as delivered by the original designer. Please have a look at the website of the original designer for all the possibilities.

On my homepage you will be able to see a showcase.

regards,
Erik
