Is it possible to convert Joomla to WebsiteBaker Template?

Just to let you know, I got it working. I had to uninstall, then reinstall show_menu2. Then I needed to enable login and multiple menus BEFORE I activated the templates. Thank you very much!

Just did a quick install on my sandbox server.
It works fine for me.
I even like it :-) I might even use it in future projects.

Yeah, show_menu2 is installed. Can I see where it works on your page?

Hello,

cannot reproduce this. It works here as aspected. Maybe there went something wrong during your download and install procedure. Please try to download and install the zip package again.

Matthias

P.S.
Is show_menu2 installed as it is described in the requirements above?

Thanks very much. The template doesn't seem to be working though as it'll display the header and background, but it will not display site's contents...

@aimeeish

attached you find the to WB converted Joomla Template that you talked about. Simply download the zip package and install the zip package as normal WB Template.

Original can be found here:
http://joomla15.siteground.com/?template=siteground-j15-32

Requirements:
1.) Show_menu2 must be installed
2.) Multiple Menus must be activated in advanced settings

The Template uses 2 Menus. A horizontal wich only displays one level and the left menu with multiple levels. Search and Login is integrated.

So I hope you like it

Hello,

and if you look on our addons page in the template section, you will already see some converted Joomla templates. Did it for a few, but the most joomla templates are very bad coded (thousands of tables), wich makes it not really easy to get in the result good coded templates for WB.

@aimeeish-
Look at the documentation that BerndJM provided as it describes what's involved. It's pretty easy to convert templates since much of it is determined by DIV CLASS and ID combined with CSS. One thing to keep in mind is that you may need an addon for certain types of functionality. For example, if your template includes a calendar of events somewhere on your page then you'll need a calendar addon (available in the addon section) to populate that section of the template. WB is probably one of the easiest CMSs to modify/create templates especially if you already have a template that you are using elsewehere.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But, in practice, there is.

Is it possible to convert a Joomla template to a WebsiteBaker Template? I've recently been using WebsiteBaker for another website, and I immediately fell in love with its simple and straightforward functions.

The site I would like to move over to WebsiteBaker is not run by a CMS, however, there is a Joomla template I want to use for the site...so, I'm wondering if it's possible. I'm assuming it is possible, but is the level of difficulty to this quite tedious?

Let me know, thanks. I'll be around for an answer.
